This document, the third one of the series «Undoing Knots. Innovating for change», includes the results of a research about the poverty measurement made by the Levy Economics Institute in 2011 with UNDP´s support. The aim of this research is to propose an alternative to the official measurement of income poverty, taking into account the unpaid work. Yet, its significance for attaining a minimum standard of living has not made sufficient inroads in academic and policy discourse. As a result, official poverty estimates still largely ignore the issue.
